The vegetable juice diet sometimes appears similar to the raw vegetable diet. It is advised that you should try and eat as many raw vegetables as possible in order to gain all the essential nutrients. The more you cook the vegetable, lesser the nutrients remain in it. You can try different vegetable juices everyday to avoid monotony and even experiment with different herbs to create new concoctions for your fruits and vegetable diet plan.

The vegetable juice diet or the raw vegetable diet is not meant for those suffering from chronic illness, or recently undergone a surgery, or pregnant women. It is also advised to consult the doctor before going for this diet as one may suffer from side effects like headache, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, in the initial stages of this diet. The diet is also meant only for adults and should be followed under the supervision of a doctor or a nutritionist.

Although associated with some of the side effects and termed as a fad diet, the vegetable juice diet is relatively healthy as vegetables are healthy and contain beneficial nutrients. However, the diet is not meant for prolonged use as it is a liquid diet and also lacks in proteins. Therefore, if you are looking for a short term diet for quick weight loss, you can consider going for it. Take care!
